  • Antimicrobial resistance: use and knowledge of antibiotics; information about the correct use of antibiotics; level to tackle the resistance of antibiotics; use of antibiotics in farm animals
  • Financial products and services: use of financial products and services; financial products and services purchased in another Eu member state; provider change; cross-border transactions using other currencies

    Notes:

Question module QA was implemented on behalf of and financed by the European Parliament. Questions QA9 to QA17 on “Perceptions and expectations, the fight against terrorism and radicalization” are – except for QA9 – newly introduced. Data for questions QA1 to QA8 (European Youth in 2016) are only available separately in the framework of Eurobarometer 85.1OVR including an OVeRsample of young respondents aged 16 to 30.

Question module QB on “Antimicrobial Resistance” partly replicates questions formerly asked in the framework of Eurobarometer 79.4.

Question module QC on “Financial Products and Services” is partly based on questions asked in the context of the corresponding module surveyed in the framework of Eurobarometer 76.1.

Question module QD on “Online Platforms” is newly introduced.

Extrapolated population figures as calculated by WEXTRA differ slightly from the population 15+ figures per country indicated in the technical specifications provided by TNS.

Additional variables qd1a_1f to qd6f represent results for internet and online platforms users only. Respondents who do not use the internet or online platforms are recoded “9” (Inap.) in each variable.

For Italy, Finland, Estonia, Lithuania, Poland, Slovenia, Bulgaria and Romania the end of fieldwork dates coded in the dataset in variable p1 differ from the end of fieldwork dates indicated in the official technical specifications. Furthermore, a high number of cases (2,687) across almost all samples has not been coded a fieldwork date but “DK” in the original dataset.

No data are available for protocol items p8 (postal code), p9 (sample point number), p10 (interviewer number) and p11.
