The Flash Eurobarometer is an European cross-national survey research programme on attitudes, values and beliefs of european citizens. The survey has been conducted since 1987 but unlike Standard Eurobarometer is limited in respect of sample used and provides information on special topics when required by the European Commission.

The arguments of Flash Eurobarometer 206B are as follows:

  • the patterns of car and other transport’s usage;
  • the understanding to what extent citizens link the car type and its usage to the environment and to the traffic situation;
  • what people think about the means of improvement of traffic situation;
  • what people do to decrease the CO2 emissions from road transport;
  • what are the costs of damaging environment and who should bear them;
  • what the people think about the security controls at the airports and if they are aware of their rights as air passengers.
