International Summer School in Qualitative Research Methods in Education – Grounded Theory for social justice

The Department of Psychology and Cognitive Sciences, University of Trento in collaboration with University of Bologna, Department for Life Quality Studies, organizes the fifth edition of the International Summer School in Qualitative Research Methods in Education, focusing on the theme “Grounded Theory for Social Justice”. The Summer School aims at providing students with a theoretical outline about social justice research, as well as practical tools to conduct qualitative research in this field.

 

Providing critical knowledge and skills of qualitative research related to the use of the Grounded Theory for Social Justice in education. The course provides a high-quality academic training in data analysis strategies, abstraction and theory construction from data, guiding the students to explore the wide-range of Grounded Theory Method.

  • Coding LabLuca Ghirotto and Francesca Rapanà

 

Lessons will be held at the Department of Cognitive Sciences from June 18 – 21, 2014. The Summer School is addressed to all students, PhD students, post doc or researchers who are interested in grounded theory methods and/or social justice research oriented. Preferably with some training or experience in GTM. The language of the course is English.
