The Eurobarometer survey is designed to provide regular monitoring of public social and political attitudes in the EU through specific trend questions. Therefore, the general aim of EB is to know the attitudes and evaluations of European citizens about large general themes. The questions concern to the European integration issues, but sometimes they regard also specific problem about single country or common problems of economic, political or social nature.
The arguments of Eurobarometer 88.4 are as follows:
- Sport and physical activity: level of physical activity, including how often and how vigorously participated in activities, opinion on exercise, how much time spent sitting on an average day, any issues that prevent from being physically active, and whether volunteering in sporting activities
- EU citizens, agriculture and the CAP: importance of agriculture in the EU, opinion on agricultural policies such as the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), the role of farmers in the EU, and the labeling of the place of origin for meat and dairy products
